I am majoring in Art Education, planning to some day hope to teach at the college level. I have had many experiences tutoring grade school children. I have a great ability to get through to them. I set up a one-on-one type session where I can first get to know the child so I can give the proper attention to his or her certain learning needs. I have also had years of experience in working in the daycare environment, taking care of up to five children at a time. I have taken many child and adolescence psychology and developmental classes, which helps in diagnosing a childs individual needs. I want to be a tutor because, while, it will give me intensive field experience, simply put, I love to teach. I believe it is the most important thing that our future not only learns, but knows how to learn. I feel a sense of satisfaction and pride when my pupil understands and flourishes. I believe any child can reach any goal, they just need the right light.
